The earliest Baptist witness in the country prior to 1950, commonly referred to as the Lambaland Baptists, becomes the oldest Baptist grouping in the country

Baptist mission of central Africa begins the work in southern Rhodesia

1953

The Rhodesian Baptist Mission is organised with twelve missionaries.

1957

The Rhodesian Baptist Mission is renamed as the Baptist Mission of Central Africa (BMCA)

1959

Smalls and Mosses travel and settle in Chamboli, Kitwe

1960

Chamboli Baptist church, the first organised Baptist church on the Copperbelt

Services begin in Kamuchanga and Kankoyo in Mufulira by Ted Savage

Butondo Baptist church on the Copperbelt is established
