The schoolboy from the Kafulafuta mission boy’s school who escorted the first Swedish Baptist missionary Mr Anton Johansson across the Kafulafuta River to his first home in Mpongwe (some 40 kilometres from Kafulafuta) in 1931 was Anasi Lupunga (photo of his grave in picture), who later became one of the first indigenous Baptist pastors to be ordained in 1953 together with Paul Kasonga and Bob Litana.
