The first Baptist missionaries to bring the gospel to Zambia were from England in 1905 and settled in Kafulafuta. The second group of Baptist missionaries came from South Africa in 1914 and also settled in Kafulafuta. The third group of Baptist missionaries came from Sweden in 1931. They settled in Mpongwe.
